Women’s Health

Globally, women's access to health care remains a challenge, both in developing and developed countries. Generally, men and women share comparative health challenges; the only dissimilarity is that the health of women merits specific consideration. Women’s health includes a wide range of issues including its function of organs and systems involved in reproduction, pregnancy and childbirth. Some women have interesting health related issues with painful periods, menstruationmenopause, and endometriosis – gynecological diseases can seriously impair a woman's feeling of well-being and quality of life. The origin of these diseases can lie in hormonal imbalances and cause of women infertility. Modern hormonal contraceptives are highly reliable in terms of protection against unplanned pregnancy. The leading cause of death among women of reproductive age is HIV/AIDS which is due to biological factors and limitation of women’s knowledge about HIV and unsafe sex. Lack of contraception results in unwanted pregnancies, unsafe abortions, sexually transmitted infections, which is dangers and are the main source of death in young women’s.
